Award-winning journalist Christien de Garis has been appointed because the news director of 7NEWS Perth.
Seven introduced the appointment, which is able to take impact in October, on Wednesday.
The Perth-born reporter has more than 20 years expertise in broadcast news and authorities communications.
He started his profession with Seven West Media’s regional newspapers in Bunbury and Kalgoorlie earlier than shifting to the ABC and Network 10.
