Toyota has formally opened its $115 million parts and equipment centre — the biggest of its variety in the southern hemisphere and among the many most beneficial industrial properties ever constructed in WA.

The Kewdale facility is more than 3 times the scale of its earlier web site, with a large 22,000sqm workshop — enough to cowl more than three soccer fields.

In a signal of the Japanese multinational’s confidence in WA, the ability providers 550,000 Toyota autos on native roads, with ample capability for growth.

The wholesale centre means Toyota drivers will probably no longer need to attend for spare parts from the east coast or abroad — delays that emerged during the COVID pandemic.

Gary Nettle, govt director of Toyota WA’s parts distribution, mentioned the scale and technology of the new Parts and Accessories Distributor Facility had been unprecedented in the southern hemisphere.
